Open Knitting

Mondays 5pm-7pm, Wednesdays 1pm-3pm, Thursdays 5pm-7pm & Saturday 10am-5pm

Please join us for open knitting every Wednesday afternoon, Thursday evening and Saturday morning! It's a great way to get help and spend time with your fiber loving friends!! If you are interested in having your group meet in our space on a different day and time, just let me know and I'll put it on the schedule!

"Skill Building Knitting Group"

Are you looking to learn new stitches and new techniques? Are you looking for inspiration for a new project but don't feel advanced enough in your skills? Are you stuck on a current project? Join us for these Tuesday morning skill building sessions. Each person receives individualized attention on their specific needs. The group will include instruction and comradery as we all learn from each other! (6 people max)

“Portuguese Knitting: Beginner/Intermediate””

Instructors: Ali Hartzell and Dawn Nelson

Come learn how to Portuguese Knit and the advantages of this great technique. This will be a combination class for beginners and those who came to the first class. Like last time, students will learn the basics of this knitting style while creating a dishcloth. If you are a continuing student, Ali will show you how to do more advanced stitches using this technique. Please note: This is an advanced knitting class and it is a prerequisite that all participants have the fundamental skills and know how to knit, purl and yarn over already. (3 participants min, 6 maximum)

“Playing with Yarn: Kid's Yarn Crafts” (Ages 8 and up)

Instructor: Michelle & Victoria Cohen

Are you looking for something to do with your young crafter during the summer? Come join us for a couple hours of knitting, crocheting and crafting with yarn. We will have different stations set up so your child can experiment with different yarn crafts. Supplies used during class will be included (if you want to purchase yarn/needles/hooks to take home, that will be a separate cost). A light snack will also be provided. (3 participants min, 6 maximum)

“Eleni's Funky Socks”

Instructor: Eleni Adkins, Fiber Artist

Have you seen the knee socks that are super colorful and have different stitches and crochet flowers? Do you want to learn how to knit socks while creating a masterpiece? This is the class for you!! Eleni will share all of her tips for knitting socks while teaching a super fun pattern. Class is over a period of 3 weeks. Crochet Flowers Class will be offered separately. (3 participants min, 6 maximum)

“Peggy's Felted Hat”

Instructor: Peggy Giza, Felter Extraordinaire

Join Peggy in learning how to make a classic felted hat that will be perfect for the Fall! Knitting and felting instructions will be given. Each person will also learn how to accessorize the hat with buttons and flowers. (3 participants min, 6 maximum)

“Flower Crochet Embellishments”

Instructor: Joan Hoffmeyer

Do you want to take your beginner crochet skills to another level? Are you an ambitious knitter who wants to learn how to make those fancy crochet flowers? This is the class for you! Joan will teach us how to make flower embellishments for hats, headbands, socks or your favorite project. Small balls of yarn will be provided in the class. (3 participants min, 6 maximum).

SUMMER PJ's KNITTING PARTY

Mark your calendar for our first annual pajama knitting party!!! Come with your comfy jammies, slippers and a favorite party snack (optional)!! We will gather around the “living room” and knit like teenagers!! Don't miss what promises to be a memorable night!!!

All classes must be paid for at the time of registration. If a class is cancelled due to low registration, a full refund will be given. If a customer cannot attend a class, 24 hr cancellation notice is required for a refund otherwise credit will be given toward another class. As classes might have waiting lists, this is a courtesy to those who might be waiting for a spot. Thank you!

Back by popular demand!! Entrelac looks so complicated but I promise you that once you “get it” you'll be addicted! “Everything You Need to Know about Blocking” Seminar (includes food & drink)”

Instructor: Eleni Adkins

Take the fear out of blocking and learn how to determine the proper blocking method for your project. Join us for a happy hour with drinks and goodies, and watch as we demonstrate various blocking techniques, how to identify the right tools for your project, and how to apply them. Blocking kits will be available at a discounted price for students. Kits will include, blocking mats, pins, wires, combs, and a sample of Eucalan. Pre-registration is required, space is limited to 12 participants, as this is an exclusive after-hours event.
