Open Knitting

Mondays 5pm-7pm, Wednesdays 1pm-3pm, Thursdays 5pm-7pm & Saturday 10am-5pm

Please join us for open knitting every Monday evening, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday evening and Saturdays! It's a great way to get help and spend time with your fiber loving friends!! Are you looking to learn new stitches and new techniques? Are you looking for inspiration for a new project but don't feel advanced enough in your skills? Are you stuck on a current project? Join us for these Tuesday morning skill building sessions. Each person receives individualized attention on their specific needs. The group will include instruction and comradery as we all learn from each other! (6 people max)

Waves & Ripples Crochet Bag

In this class you will learn how to create ripples and a crochet I-cord drawstring as well as using single, double and half-double crochet stitches. This bag can be lined with a canvas fabric which will help to contain your projects! The bag utilizes Schoppel Gradient; one skein will complete the project. Completed size of bag is 8” high with a bottom diameter of 6”. Overall circumference is 21”

Little Fingers Knitting

If your little darling has wanted to learn but you're not the one to teach them, bring them to us and we'll help them learn the basics to get started on their very own project (TBD)! We have lots of fun colors of yarn to choose from. Of course, if you'd like to learn along with your child, we welcome the beginner big fingers as well! The cost is $35/parent-child pair. Portuguese Knitting

Come learn how to Portuguese Knit and the advantages of this great technique. By the end of the two hours you will have the skills to knit, purl, and yarn over in the Portuguese style with the proof of a beautiful dish cloth! Please note: This is an advanced knitting class and it is a prerequisite that all participants have the fundamental skills and know how to knit, purl and yarn over already.(3 participants min, 6 max)

Basics of Knitting

This is a true beginner class! If you think you've caught the knitting bug, then this class is for you! We will cover the very basics of choosing yarn and needles, casting on, the knit stitch and the purl stitch, starting/finishing a row, and other basic questions. The atmosphere will be helpful and no pressure! Mistakes are welcome and important for learning…so there are no dumb mistakes! Come early to choose some yarn and supplies if you don't have them. Special Event: Knitted Knockers

Thursday, 10/13 5:00-7:00pm

Join us and learn how to knit breast prostheses, also known as “knitted knockers”. Yarn and stuffing will be donated by the shop and completed “knockers” will be donated to Knitted Knockers.org and local cancer centers. Last year we had a great turnout and hope to see everyone again this year! While there is no cost for this event, please RSVP if you plan to attend so we can accommodate everyone.

Flaming Brioche Hat

Come learn all about Brioche knitting and create a beautiful, cabled reversible hat! The class will cover the basics of brioche stitches (BRK and BRP), how to recognize the stitches in your knitting, backing out Brioche and cabling Brioche. Understanding cabling is essential to taking this class. (6 participants max)

PNW Yarn Crawl shops present “Socktoberfest”...three fun days of all things sock related…sock weight yarn, patterns using sock yarn, and accessories!! Each participating shop (www.pnwyarncrawl.com for map) will offer free knit and crochet patterns, there will be daily drawings and a finishing prize for those customers who kindly visit each shop!!! Mark your calendars now for some fun in October!!

All About Blocking

Take the fear out of blocking and learn how to determine the proper blocking method for your project. Join us for a happy hour with food and beverages and watch as we demonstrate various blocking techniques, how to identify the right tools for your project, and how to apply them. Blocking kits will be available at a discounted price for students. Kits will include, blocking mats, pins, wires, combs, and a sample of Eucalan. Pre-registration is required, space is limited to 12 participants, as this is an exclusive after-hours event.

Liesl Fair Isle Cowl

Have you been wanting to create something beautiful using Fair Isle? The Leisl cowl pattern from Louisa Harding is a stunning example using the Fair Isle technique of knitting. The color variations are created by the variegated Amitola Grande and Trenza yarn creating a much more complex look. You will learn the basics of Fair Isle technique, how to carry your yarn (floats) and working from a chart. Your finished product can be worn as a cowl but it is large enough to be worn over the shoulders. (3 participants min, 6 max)



All classes must be paid for at the time of registration. If a class is cancelled due to low registration, a full refund will be given. If a customer cannot attend a class, 24 hr cancellation notice is required for a refund otherwise credit will be given toward another class. As classes might have waiting lists, this is a courtesy to those who might be waiting for a spot. Thank you!
