Coast Salish Weaving-Beginning Twill

This is a two day class, 5/18 & 5/19.

Students will learn how to warp up a traditional 2-bar loom and twill weave a small wall hanging or coin bag. These designs are often found on robes, blankets and various regalia.  Susan will share with students the various oral teachings and traditions that her master teacher shared with her, one being “always teach the student who wants to learn.”   Teaching looms will be provided for use in the class, with the option to buy a table top loom for $75. Yarn will be sold separately. (10 students max)
